Art Tile - Seamless in Black and White #2

In the Seamless series Susan aims to elevate craft to fine art by embracing the stories of women, fashion, families and the domestic world.  This original art work challenges hierarchies in the art world by emulating fabric, a material normally associated with fashion and craft. It has been created using a ceramic inlay method with a mix of white and black clay. Both clays have been collaged to create this one of a kind art work.  White gloss glaze has been poured over the matt white clay base to add further dimensionality and texture.

Comes ready to hang with a small white ball to cover the fixing and add a touch of playfulness. Signed and dated by artist Susan Christie.
